The latest progress of the new ten CTMEG projects will be put into operation in 2019 is as follows:

Xinjiang Tianye 100kt/a MEG expansion project

Tianzhi Chenye's 100kt/a MEG expansion project is based on the original equipment, making full use of calcium carbide furnace gas, waste coke powder and organic wastewater for resource utilization. In September 2018, the 40,000 Nm3/h air separation unit designed and manufactured by Kaifeng Air Separation in the third phase of Xinjiang Tianye Group was successfully driven. The project is scheduled to put into production in the first half of 2019.

Xinjiang Tianye 1 Mt/a syngas to MEG project of first phase 600kt/a

Xinjiang Tianye 600kt/a MEG project is located in Shijiazi New Material Industrial Park, Shihezi, Xinjiang. The project uses Jinhua Furnace 3.0 gasification technology and HighChem syngas to MEG patent technology. The project started construction in August 2017 and is expected to be completed and put into operation in October 2019.

Shaanxi Weihe Binzhou Chemical 300kt/a MEG project

The project is located in Binxian County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province. The total investment of the project is CNY5.495 billion. After completion, the annual output of MEG is 300kt. The project uses HighChem syngas to MEG patent technology. The project started construction in 2017 and entered the comprehensive civil construction superstructure and installation project in 2018. It is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2019.

Yanchang Petroleum 100kt/a oilfield associated gas to MEG

The project is located in Yanchang County, Shaanxi Province. It uses Shanghai Pujing Chemical syngas to MEG technology, designed by Beijing Petrochemical Engineering company and Hualu Engineering is responsible for project general contracting. The project is planned to start commissioning in June 2019.

Jianyuan Coal Coking 240kt/a coke oven tail gas to MEG project

The project is located in Qipanjing Town, Etuoke Banner, Erdos, Inner Mongolia. It uses Shanghai Pujing Chemical syngas to MEG technology, which is designed by Hualu Engineering Company. Construction started in March 2018, and it is planned to enter the joint test in the second half of 2019.

Henan Energy Longyu Coal Chemical 200kt/a MEG project

The project is located in the Yongcheng Industrial Cluster. It will use the existing system supporting capacity and 60,000 Nm3/h of surplus syngas to build a new 200kt/a MEG project. The total planned investment is CNY1 billion. The project started construction in March 2018 and is scheduled to be completed and put into production by the end of 2019.

Hubei Sanning 600kt/a MEG project of first phase 400kt/a

The project is located in Zhijiang City, Hubei Province. The first phase of the project has a total investment of CNY7.5 billion, producing 400kt/a MEG and 520kt/a ammonia. It uses ECUST OMB coal water slurry pressurized gasification and HighChem syngas to MEG patent technology. The project is expected to be completed and put into production in December 2019.

Shaanxi Coal Chemical Energy 300kt/a MEG project

The project is located in Changwu County, Xianyang, Shaanxi Province, with investment of about CNY2 billion. It uses the syngas to MEG technology of Shanghai Wuzheng Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. The project started in March 2018 and is scheduled to be put into operation at the end of 2019.

Inner Mongolia Yilin Chemical 200kt/a syngas to MEG project

The project is located in Erdos City, Inner Mongolia. The project will use the remaining steam, syngas, oxygen and other resources generated by Yitai's 1.2 million tons of fine chemicals project and the completed water supply project to build 200kt/a MEG project. The total investment of the project is CNY1.6 billion and it is planned to be completed and put into production in 2019.

Shanxi Xiangkuang Hongtong 200kt/a MEG project

The project is located in Wangqiao Industrial Park, Ji County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, with a total investment of about CNY2 billion. It uses crushed coal pressurized gasification technology and Shanghai Pujing Chemical syngas to MEG technology. It plans to jointly test the vehicle in the second half of 2019.
