In late March 2019, the National Energy Administration (NEA) research team conducted research on the bio-fuel ethanol production and the promotion and use of ethanol gasoline in Anhui Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
On February 26, 2019, the NEA held a symposium on bio-fuel ethanol companies in Beijing to listen to suggestions from enterprises. In early March, the NEA issued a notice on the establishment of a monthly information system for expanding the production of bio-fuel ethanol and promoting the use of ethanol gasoline for vehicles. In late March, research was conducted on the bio-fuel ethanol production and the promotion and use of ethanol gasoline in Anhui Province and Guangxi Autonomous Region. It shows that the NEA is closely promoting the pace of fuel ethanol and ethanol gasoline for vehicles.
Recently, Wang Siqiang, Director of the Science and Technology Department of the National Energy Administration, led a team to investigate the use of bio-fuel ethanol production and the use of ethanol gasoline for vehicles in Anhui Province. The research team went deep into the bio-ethanol production base of COFCO Biochemical (Anhui) Co., Ltd. to understand the production of bio-fuel ethanol.
The research team held a symposium in Hefei, Anhui. The main responsible comrades of Anhui Energy Bureau, Sinopec, PetroChina, CNOOC, Sinochem, COFCO Biochemical and other enterprises and comrades reported on the promotion and use of ethanol gasoline for vehicles, fuel ethanol production and sales, and provincial business. The responsible comrades of the relevant departments of the Provincial and Provincial Market Supervision Bureaus participated in the discussion.
In his concluding remarks, Director Wang Siqiang asked all enterprises to promote the use of ethanol gasoline for vehicles in accordance with the principle of “firm confidence, firm direction, steady advancement, and pragmatic effectiveness”. First is to improve political positions and implement the National 15 Committees ‘Implementation Plan on Expanding Bio-fuel Ethanol Production and Promoting the Use of Ethanol Gasoline for Vehicles’. The second is to compact the responsibility and make the promotion and use work deeper and more realistic. The third is to strengthen market supervision and regulate market order. The fourth is to strengthen publicity and guidance and create a good atmosphere. Fifth is to be active, steady, and solid.
On March 20, Wang Siqiang, a research team of the NEA, and a group of 4 people went to the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to investigate the production of bio-fuel ethanol and the promotion and use of ethanol gasoline for vehicles.
The research team went to the Shizhuling Gas Station and the Tuli Oil Depot Coordination Center of Sinopec Sales Co., Ltd., Guangxi Nanning Petroleum Branch for on-the-spot investigation, and then held a symposium on bio-fuel ethanol production and vehicle ethanol gasoline promotion and use in meeting room of Guangxi Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission.
The research team of the NEA fully affirmed the good results achieved in the past promotion of ethanol gasoline for vehicles in Guangxi and put forward the requirements for the promotion of ethanol gasoline for vehicles in Guangxi.
National policies boost the development of the fuel ethanol industry. The national policy plan will promote the use of ethanol gasoline for vehicles nationwide by 2020. According to the analysis of ASIACHEM Consulting, 2019 is a key year for national promotion of ethanol gasoline and Shanghai, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Beijing, Zhejiang and other places are expected to carry out pilot promotion.
