On Jan 29th, Qilu PC-Victory Oil Field CCUS, the first Chinese carbon dioxide capture, use and sequestration project hit mechanical completion.
The project is jointly built by Qilu PC and Victory Oil Field, the main device, 1Mt/a liquid CO2 recovery & use complex is located in Qilu PC. The project uses CO2 off-gas from the syngas unit of Qilu PC #2 fertilizer plant as raw material, to produce liquid CO2 product and send it to Victory Oil Field for oil drive and sequestration, the annual injection is designed 1Mt/a to cover 60Mt of geological reserve.
