Apr 2020, SAIC Motor and Shanghai Airport Authority signed strategic cooperation framework agreement. According to the agreement, in terms of NEV demonstration and popularization, SAIC Motor and Shanghai Airport would explore using FCV as general vehicles and passenger ferries, as well as other special-used vehicles using for ground service, track maintenance and aircraft support etc. Both parties would also joint explore and construct HRS, charging piles, charging stations and fast charging pile networks etc. infrastructures.

Before, in Mar, BAIC Foton, PetroChina Beijing Petrochemical Branch, Beijing Airport Shuttle Bus and Beijing SinoHytec reached cooperation intention on operation of FCV, and would deep cooperate on R&D, production and operation of FCV and construction of HRS. Combine with Gaoming District hydrogen energy industry development resources, rely on airline hub, introducing advanced technologies and high-quality enterprises settling, orderly promote construction of Pearl River Delta Hub (Guangzhou New) Airport Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park, further accelerate industry cluster. Perfect construction of circum airport region hydrogen energy infrastructures; use airport-used vehicles, emergency power supplies and distributed power generation systems etc. as main entering points, integrated hydrogen energy and airport economy, and make it China first hydrogen energy pilot demonstration airport, construct hydrogen energy airport industrial park; by 2030, airport-used FCV reach 2000, and hydrogen energy become main component of energy consumption of the airport, proportion reach 10%.
