However, compared with the international advanced level, China's petrochemical and coal industry intelligence level is still in the primary stage. The issues including lack of knowledge on the construction of smart factories, weak foundation for smart manufacturing, insufficient investment in R&D for smart manufacturing, the pattern of capital utilization is still under exploration, and high-end talent shortage, etc. Therefore, it is even more important to continue to strengthen pilot demonstration and promotion of smart factories, strengthen demonstration effects, accelerate the establishment of a smart manufacturing standard system and improve the personnel training mechanism.
