Apr 18, 2017, Ningbo Shanshan Co. Ltd. released 2016 Annual Report. In 2016, the company realized operation revenue CNY 5.475bn, year on year increase 11.09%, among, LIB material realized operation revenue CNY 4.096bn, occupies 74.8%, year on year increase 20.53%; in 2016, the company realized net profit CNY 330M, year on year decrease 52.24%.
According to 2016 Annual Report and 2015 Annual Report of the company, ASIACHEM calculates cost price and marketing price of its cathode material, anode material and electrolyte are shown in the table below.
----Cathode Material
In report period, Shanshan Energy 5000t/a ternary precursor and 5000t/a ternary material project, which locates in Shizuishan, Ningxia, reached designed capacity. Production line fixed location on international and China first-tier battery manufacturers. Shanshan Energy is world largest cathode material manufacturer in size, total capacity reaches 33kt.
Besides, the company achieved quite big success on new product R&D. The company developed many cathode materials that leading the world, for instance high voltage LCO LC95A, xEV used ternary T31R and high nickel ternary material T61R etc., applied in high-end 3C products and EV. Company also participated in working out YS/T 1125-2016 (NCA), YS/T 677-2016 (LMO) industry standards.
Public information shows that, in Mar, 2017, Shanshan Energy Ternary 811 Turn-key Project Production Line construction started in Shizuishan Base, Ningxia and estimated to put into operation in 2017. It is reported that, device investment of the project is almost CNY 70k, and 80% device will be imported from aboard. The production line is first invented in China and which is comprehensive outsourcing turn-key project. Its service team is all from abroad. Capacity, energy consumption, product performance and cost etc. will be outsourcing evaluation indicators
----Anode Material
In report period, company 10kt/a raw material project put into operation one after another, 35kt/a power LIB material project Phase-1 was under device installation stage and planned to trial production in 2017.
In the report period, company made breakthrough processes on silicon base anode material etc. projects and participated in working out a national standard (carbon material sampling method) and an industry standard (LIB used soft carbon industry standard). In basic research field, the company received 2 international patents from South Korea and Japan (3D multi-aperture silicon base composite material and preparation).
Public data shows that, in Apr, 2017, Ningbo Shanshan stated that, currently, company silicon carbon anode material has shipment scale of ton grade/month, and it is expected that the company will have production scale of 4000t/a silicon carbon anode material in 2017.
----Electrolyte
In report period, the company finished increasing investment of Zhejiang Juhua Kailan New Material Co. Ltd. (After period, it changes its name to Shanshan New Material (Quzhou) Co. Ltd.), registered capital was CNY 120M. Currently, its 2000t/a LiPF6 and 2000t/a electrolyte projects are under construction. It is estimated that the electrolyte project will be trial production in Q3, 2017 and LiPF6 project will be trial production in 2017.
----New Energy Vehicle
In report period, the company gradually carried out power battery PACK business and new energy vehicle operation business. In report period, EVPS Ningbo Energy Storage System Co. Ltd. automatic 18650 battery PACK production line initial construction completed, annual produce 18000 sets new energy logistics vehicle PACK system and capacity is about 700MWh, clients include NLM Motor and Dongfeng Special Vehicle etc. In Apr, 2016, Shanshan Auto received special vehicle production certificate: Qingshan Vehicle in report period completed 10 kinds complete vehicle designing and R&D work, includes 3 kinds of special vehicles and 7 kinds of coaches. In report period, the company new energy vehicle realized CNY 94.5231M operation revenue, year on year reduce 48.01%, sold 78 new energy vehicles.
