On Jun 2nd, Inner Mongolia Baofeng Coal-Base New Material Co Ltd received approval for registration of the company’s phase I green hydrogen process coupled 1Mt/a coal-to-olefin project.
Construction capacity and scope of the project are: to build a 1Mt/a methanol-to-olefin complex (composed 600kt/a derived from the originally registered 1Mt/a CTO capacity and the rest 400kt/a based on green hydrogen through year-by-year coupling integration with the process capacity. Utility and auxiliary facilities would borrow back-up from original phase I 2.60Mt/a CTO project.
