Jilin Electric Stock plans to develop 2X200kt/a wind/solar power to green hydrogen biomass coupled green methanol projects in Da’an and Lishu respectively.
On Dec 18th, the Lishu project received approval for registration. On the next day, Dec 19th, the Da’an project (hydrogen and green methanol section) was also approved to register.

Construction site, Da’an Economy Developing Zone, Baicheng City, Jilin Province
Construction capacity: 2.50kt/a green hydrogen + 200kt/a methanol. Alkaline electrolysis to H2 plant & substation, two units of in total 4800m2 building area; PEM electrolysis to H2 plant & substation, 1 unit of 2400m2 building area; installed with three ALK to H2 equipment packages and two PEM packages, of in total 5400Nm3/h hydrogen capacity; biomass gasification unit (plant building included), 4500m2 area; purification unit (plant building included), 8000m2 area; methanol synthesis unit (plant building and substation included), 13600m2; biomass raw material warehouse, 2600m2 area; renewable carbon-base raw material preparation (plant building included), 6000m2 area, etc.
In addition, Jilin Electric Stock has initiated field construction of a 180kt/a green ammonia unit as part ofDa’an wind/solar power to green hydrogen ammonia integration demo phase I project, phase II 360kt/a green ammonia has also received the grant for construction. It is planned to build, by 2030年, a 10,000MW new energy based power to Hydrogen base in western Jilin, further extending the process chain towards green methanol, green aviation kerosene and other H2-base green energy products.
