On Mar 12th, CNOOC Blue Chemical Fudao Company carbon-rich natural gas dry reformation to syngas pilot project opening ceremony was held at Fudao Company’s site in Dongfang Port Industrial Park.
Starting from Jan 2022, CNOOC Blue Chemical joined BASF and Wuhuan Engineering in dry reformation process, catalyst and reactor equipment R&D and application study, had consolidated the fundamental works of two catalyst species lab research, single tube test, 100,000m3 pilot basic engineering etc, start-up of the pilot unit would become a new starting point.
The dry reformation catalyst species had already passed lab test verification and, based on the achievement, Fudao Company signed EPC contract with China Wuhuan in Sep 2023, finalized basic engineering design in Feb 2024, so that the opening ceremony would drive the project in field construction stage.
