2026 Biomass Gasification & Downstream Green Products Symposium is to be held on Sep 15th -16th in Baicheng City. The conference would explore & discuss green methanol, SAF and green LNG capacity planning and biomass gasification market prospective, biomass resource collection and transport scheme, biomass breaking & molding pretreatment process and equipment, biomass fixed bed/fluidized bed/gas-flow bed and thermal cracking gasification processes & demo experiences, bio-base syngas cleaning process & equipment, bio-base syngas to downstream green product process routes, energy plant research advancement & large scale plantation prospective etc. The conference would also arrange a visit to Shanghai Electric Taonan City wind power coupling biomass green methanol integration demo project.
On Jul 10th, Taonan City green hydrogen coupling biomass green methanol/oil integration project received official approval.
The project is to occupy in total 366,500m2 area and install the process lines of capacity to produce 20.8.3kt/a green methanol and 10kt/a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
In the morning of Jul 15th 2025, Shanghai Electric Corp Taonan City wind power coupling biomass green methanol integration demo project start-up ceremony was held in Taonan City, Jilin Province. Taonan project phase I capacity has reached 50kt/a.
